Making Lives, Making Community: Scottish Asians in Glasgow (2017-2018)

A Heritage Lottery funded project with Radio Awaaz (community radio station, Glasgow) on gathering stories for first generation South Asian migrants to Glasgow, and documenting them through a book and a radio telling series. The project led to a book titled “Making Lives, Making Community: Scottish Asians in Glasgow”, two exhibitions at Tramway, Glasgow and at the Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh. First generation Scottish Asians also told the stories of their lives at Tramway and the Scottish Parliament. Oral history training workshops were undertaken for 9-13 year old students in mixed ethnic schools in Glasgow as part of the project.
